YUN JU-CHEOL - Korea
In the background you can see the yellow signals of an abandoned Japanese railway foot crossing. We're about an hour and a half south of Seoul. Yun's artist compound is tones of beiges and browns punctuated with blocks of colour, scattered buildings, old sculptures, ceramic follies, dogs etc. Inside his studio the same scene is going on but all this in contrast to the meticulously built vessels, hundreds of layers forming graphic delicate work that shouts look at me...but don't touch! Out of all the Korean artists Yun is the one that remains the enigma. See more in 'Moon Jar Story'.
